Sanctity of Life Week
January 17 – 24, 2016
On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage.
Sanctity of Life week can be a difficult one for those who have lost lives due to abortion. Images of the truth of life in the womb are displayed in various ways and can devastate the hearts of women and men who have been hurt by abortion. Many of the ladies of the Abortion Hurts. God Heals! team have also experienced this guilt and shame, as the truth of what they have done was presented.
The truth is hard to face, but we pray that when this truth brings your pain to the surface, that you drop to your knees, repent and give all of your guilt and shame to the Lord. Ask Him to forgive you . God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to this earth to die for YOU, so that your sins can be forgiven. It is by the blood of Jesus Christ, that you will be set free from the bondage of abortion. Abortion is not the unforgiveable sin. God WILL forgive you, if you ask.
We encourage you to listen on www.KSLR.com to the Abortion Hurts. God Heals! radio program on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 7 PM CST. Our program is entitled “Sanctity of Life – Through the Eyes of the Post Abortive Mother.” If you are unable to listen on Sunday, the podcast will be available on our website homepage.
